The Telemedical Service Center is the central platform for all telemedical monitoring and care systems of Vitaphone GmbH. It is the only one of its kind worldwide to be certified according to both the quality management standard DIN EN ISO 9001 and the “VDE use recommendations for telemonitoring” (VDE – the Association for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies). 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, patients, physicians and customers have at their disposal a competent team consisting of physicians and qualified medical support personnel.
The Telemedical Service Center in Chemnitz bundles all the services and offerings of Vitaphone GmbH for service providers, patients and end users:
- ECG and other vital signs analysis in chronic care management
- Telemonitoring-supported programs for the care of chronically ill people
- Reporting of collected vital signs to service providers
- Telephone-based advice and emergency service (TeleCare)
- Feedback from the Pico medication dispenser in the context of the pharmacotherapy and compliance management system
- Individual advice on prevention in the context of the healthcare services
- Technical hotline for all Vitaphone sensors
Telemedicine: Data protection is the highest priority
The data flow is centrally controlled by Vitaservices GmbH, a service provider company in the Vitaphone group. As a competent telemedical provider certified by independent experts, Vitaphone guarantees the highest level of data protection and data security – based on current laws and the latest technical standards.

The team: highly qualified and optimally trained
Certified processes and procedures in the Telemedical Service Center guarantee the recognized high quality standard and set the benchmarks in the market.
Patients and customers are competently cared for and advised by approved specialist physicians, sports scientists, nutritional advisors and medical support personnel. A comprehensive education program, regular training courses and in-house and project-specific further and continuing education guarantee the high quality standard of the team. In addition, it guarantees that the medical knowledge corresponds to the state of the art in medical findings and research.
Services of the TSC
Competently, very efficiently and to a high level, the team of the Telemedical Service Center supports the attending physicians by providing additional information for diagnosis and therapy. It thus permits early therapeutic intervention by physicians in clinics and practices in the context of a telemonitoring-supported care program for chronically ill people. In this way, it contributes to avoiding the need for hospitalization.
At the same time, the Telemedical Service Center takes care of patients, maintains the electronic case file, supervises the telemedical monitoring, documents findings, evaluates biometric data and forwards it to the attending physicians. In emergency situations, the Telemedical Service Center takes care of the entire emergency management – in collaboration with emergency services, physicians and clinics.

Quality is measurable - in telemedicine, too. The Vitaphone Telemedical Service Center is the first and - so far - only telemedical service center in Germany to comply with the rigorous DIN EN ISO 9001:2008 standard as well as the “VDE use recommendations for telemonitoring” standard. Successful quality audits by the VDE Test (VDE – the Association for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies) and Certification Institute are documented by the appropriate certificate awarded to Vitaphone.
